Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium hosted the NFL’s 58th Super Bowl on February 11th 2024, which featured a thrilling matchup between two power-house teams. The Kansas City Chiefs, and the San Francisco 49ers met in the big-game once again.
This year’s Super Bowl resulted in the Chiefs favor. Taking the victory over the 49ers in an overtime thriller with the score of 25-22.
“I feel like the Chiefs did everything in their power they could have done to win the Super Bowl,” said senior Kaleb Moore. “It was a good outcome, and they deserve it.”
Some fans were satisfied with the turn out, and some would say they feel otherwise. With the Kansas City Chiefs appearing in multiple recent Super Bowls, some fans argue that the organization was not deserving of their victory over the 49ers.
“I’m a little disappointed,” said senior Alec Livingston. “It’s cool to see the Chiefs start their dynasty, but I really wanted to see the 49ers win.”
Even though some people disagree with the outcome of the game, there are fans that strongly believe that the Chiefs earned their victory for Super Bowl 58. Some may even say that the Chiefs could be the next dynasty after the Patriots.
“I definitely think the Chiefs are the next dynasty,” said Zohal Rahouf. “Mahomes won three Super Bowls and is only 28 years old; if he’s able to do that, he is definitely on his way to becoming the next ‘GOAT’, and the Chiefs are becoming the new dynasty.”
Fans around the world try to piece together what the 49ers need to add to their team or culture that could allow them to break through their Super Bowl failures. “The game really came down to how our defense performed,” said senior Brian Powell.
“They need a Quarterback,” said Kaleb Moore. “Don’t get me wrong, Brock Purdy did his job, but the 49ers need someone that can manage his offense better; They need a dual-threat at the Quarterback position.”
People have already looked into who they want to see in next years’ Super Bowl 59 matchup. As ESPN has the 49er’s as favorites to come back and win it, many fans believe otherwise.
“You know I want to see the Bengals versus Detroit and I want to see Joe Burrow get his first ring,” Said Livingston.
