As the 2021 NFL Draft enters its’ 2nd day in Cleveland, Ohio, Spring Valley NFL Fans are already looking forward to the 2022 NFL Draft, expected to take place in late April on the Las Vegas Strip.

‘Once in a lifetime’

“Very excited,” remarked Junior Aiden Rowland. “I was happy to see they would still be on the Bellagio Fountains and they are expected to be bigger and better.”

A lifelong watcher of the NFL, Rowland looks forward to hopefully having the opportunity to view who the picks are in the 2022 Draft. “It would be [a] once in a lifetime [experience] to see that. It would definitely be special and never forgotten.”

‘The draft has been a part of my Spring events that I live for’

Spring Valley Teacher and Head Football Coach told The Grizzly Growler that he is very excited to see the draft coming to Las Vegas, and, that it brings back childhood memories. “I am very excited about the NFL Draft coming to Las Vegas! Since I was 10 years old, the draft has been a part of my Spring events that I live for.  The excitement of finding out which stars of tomorrow are going to play for your team, it’s awesome!”

Coach Teal added that “Back in the day, the draft was held during the morning and early afternoon on a weekday.  My best friend’s Mom was the director of a community center and myself and 9 friends would take the day off from school and we would be at the center all day through the draft, playing Flag Football and Wiffle ball and watching the draft.”

‘Las Vegas will do it bigger and better than it’s ever been done before’

Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft remarked “We have members of the team from the LVCVA in Cleveland right now, but we’re looking at it from all angles. I have no doubt Las Vegas will do it bigger and better than it’s ever been done before.” Commissioner Naft’s District includes Allegiant Stadium, which is expected to be a mega-hub for fans.

For now, though, students and staff will wait in anticipation and continue watching the 2021 Draft, which wraps up tomorrow, May 1.
