The Women’s Varsity Softball team had an standard first half season, with a record of 5-5 in hopes of making it a great season.
Last night on April 5th, they battled against the Desert Oasis Diamond backs who are their hardest opponent yet. The last game the Diamondbacks defeated them with a score of 18-3. Yesterday the hard fought game ended with a victory for the diamondbacks again and a score of 21-5. Teegan Teal, Marlena Adras, Madison Hood, Talya Ushakoff, and Siam Vicuna being the players who all got the runs for the team.
This game they faced many trials and tribulations and they hope next friday to redeem themselves as they have one last chance.
“We hope we can beat them but if we don’t we’re not going to let that bring us down,” said Siam Vicuna.
Marlena Adras really took it upon herself to play her hardest. She had one run and didn’t go down without a fight.
“I feel like I gave it my all considering I flipped on top of someone and still got her out,” said Adras.
The Lady Grizzlies are striving of for success and hope to make the rest of the season a time to remember.
